Sentator John McCain...To put him in the White House would be like trusting Clinton with your daughter.

Rather than make a poor example of a page to educate you on the above Senator who appears to have ridden his POW and veteran status to Washington, then turned his back on his fellow veterans and POWs, I'll refer you to a page that is exceptionally prepared to address the shame of this individual. Click on the above image to read about McCain. Be sure to return to Tarlander after viewing 'Doc' Gecko's page.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Born in the highlands of North Carolina in the year of nineteen hundred and fifty one, I am Junny Jackson of the Clan Campbell. The third of four children and named after my uncle, I grew up living winters in the Central Piedmont of the state and summers in my beloved mountains. Rumor has it we are descendants of the brother of Andrew Jackson, but I have no confirmation of that. If it is true, we are of Scotch-Irish descent. On my mothers side we are of Scotch descent as her maiden name is Fisher, a sept of the Clan Campbell.

We moved to High Point, NC when I was about 4 yrs. old where I lived until I was 18. I married at 18 to Ann Cooper. In 1969 I joined the United States Air Force. For the next 9 yrs and 1 month I served in several areas in the US and two tours in Southeast Asia (one in Vietnam and the other in Thailand).

I currently live in High Point and drive long-distance for an internationally known furniture manufacturer.

I have two daughters, both grown, Jenny and Carol. Jenny is married to Samuel Barker and they have a son, Christian, and a daughter, Lauren. Carol is a graduate of Liberty University with a degree in education majoring in Physical Education.

My wife, Ann, and I are founders of the Triad Highland Games in Archdale, NC. We both serve as Commissioners for the Clan Campbell Society of North America in North Carolina. I am currently Vice Commander (and acting Commander) of the Lt. Col. Patrick Ferguson Scottish American Military Society Post 1775. Needless to say we are very involved in the Scottish scene here.
